Radiant Skin Through the Wonder of Sake
After moving from Japan to the beautiful natural surroundings of Canada, I, an esthetician researching beauty, began experimenting with face packs using natural and familiar ingredients.
At that time, I remembered that my grandmother in the countryside used to wash her face with sake lees and rice bran. The Japanese of old had the wisdom to incorporate sake lees, squeezed during the sake-making process, into cooking and beauty without wasting it.
Moved by this traditional Japanese spirit of valuing leftovers, I researched sake lees and learned about its benefits for the skin, leading me to start making packs.
Koji, a fermented food that has been passed down in Japan since ancient times, is rich in B vitamins that can remove skin waste and create youthful, healthy skin.
With this knowledge, I created a beauty pack using sake lees through trial and error, blending other skin-friendly ingredients like arrowroot, clay, and essential oils from nature, and with unique techniques, I gave birth to the “SAKEGLOW Mask.”
Wishing to share the wonderful Japanese tradition and sake lees with people around the world, I established the skincare company Wa Beauty Co. here in Canada in 2022.
Natural things are simple and powerful.
By using the power of nature in skincare, we believe that our skin can also be reborn beautifully through its natural healing power.
And because skincare is something we use every day, we want to continue making products that are as natural and gentle on the skin, body, and mind as possible, without using synthetic fragrances or colorants.

While developing our masks, we were aware of the popularity of convenient sheet masks. However, sheet masks generate waste with each use. When choosing between convenience and eco-friendliness, SAKEGLOW unhesitatingly chose the latter. We are committed to using natural ingredients and making choices that minimize pollution to our oceans and rivers. This is a principle we will continue to uphold.

In our busy daily lives, we often neglect to take care of our skin. By creating a little time for yourself to apply a mask, you can provide your skin with moisture and relaxation. We are happy to assist in your self-care routine with our moisturizing bath salts and soaps that help rejuvenate your body.
